What Does Home CCTV Installation Include?
Home CCTV installation involves setting up security cameras in suitable locations around your property and connecting them to a system that records and stores footage. Depending on your needs, this may include cameras at the front door, gate, car porch or rear entrance, along with a recorder, storage drive, cables and mobile access for viewing footage.
A CCTV system lets you check who is at your door, monitor deliveries and review recorded footage when something happens while you are away. Planning the cable routes during a renovation can also help avoid extra work after the walls and ceilings have been finished.
Camera placement is important. Each camera should cover the area you want to monitor without unnecessarily capturing your neighbours’ private spaces.
LM Infinite provides home CCTV supply and installation services in Singapore with our in-house team. We recommend camera positions based on your property’s layout and security needs, rather than offering the same setup to every household. We can also repair or upgrade existing CCTV systems. Before starting, we explain the proposed setup, what is included and the cost.

From first visit to handover
1. Tell us about your home
Tell us your home type and where you want cameras. We visit, look at the layout and walls, and suggest camera positions. The visit is free.
2. Get a written quote
Your quote lists the cameras, the recorder, the hard disk and the cabling. It also says what is not included. Nothing is added to your bill without your approval.
3. Check the rules
If a camera will sit outside your flat or on a shared area, check with your Town Council or condo management first. We tell you what applies to your home before we install.
4. Cables and mounting
We plan the cable routes to keep wires neat and out of sight where we can. Cameras are fixed at the agreed spots. A new power point or new wiring must be done by a Licensed Electrical Worker.
5. Recorder and phone setup
We connect the cameras to the recorder, set up recording and link your phone. You can watch live video and play back saved footage.
6. Test and handover
We check every camera view and the recording, then show you how to use the system before we leave.
Home CCTV Installation Cost in Singapore
The cost of home CCTV installation in Singapore depends mostly on how many cameras you need and what type they are. Published 2026 price guides put a typical HDB flat with two to four cameras at about S$800 to S$2,000 installed. Condos and landed homes usually need more cameras, so they cost more.
2 cameras
About S$500 to S$1,300 installed, with a recorder and basic cabling. A fit for a small flat with one entrance and one other area to watch.
4 cameras (typical HDB flat)
About S$800 to S$2,000 installed. Basic cameras sit at the lower end. Network cameras, also called IP cameras, are usually quoted from about S$1,200.
6 to 8 cameras
Guides price 8 cameras at about S$1,800 to S$3,500, and up to S$5,000 for network cameras. Six cameras usually fall between four and eight.
Landed home
Landed homes often need 6 or more cameras for the gate, the sides and the back, with longer cable runs. Guides start at about S$2,500 and rise with the camera count.
These are rough guides, not quotes. They come from published 2026 price guides and cover cameras, a recorder, a hard disk and basic fitting. Hidden or long cable runs, extra drilling, a larger hard disk and outdoor cameras can add to the price. New power points or wiring, if needed, are priced separately, and our lighting contractor page covers electrical work. Call us on +65 9095 4506 for a written quotation. We will visit your home and price the exact work.
What affects the cost of home CCTV
Two homes of the same size can get very different quotes. These are the things that move the price the most.
- How many cameras you need and how many areas they cover
- Type of camera: basic, network (IP) or wireless
- Picture quality and night vision
- Hard disk size, which decides how many days of video are kept
- Length of the cable runs, including hidden cables and drilling through walls
- Home type: a flat, a condo or a landed home
Wired or wireless? Wireless cameras are quicker to fit, but they still need power and a good signal. Wired cameras need cable runs but give a steadier picture. Work such as new power points, ceilings or wall repairs is quoted separately and has its own service page below. The most reliable price is a written quote after a free site visit.
The rules for home CCTV in Singapore
Some points below are rules and some are advice from the government. We say which is which. This is general information, not legal advice.
Privacy and signs
The Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) says the data protection rules do not cover a person acting for personal or home purposes. They do cover organisations, such as shops, offices and condo management. For them, PDPC says a sign is good practice with no fixed wording, and cameras may catch areas outside the boundary by chance, but coverage should stay reasonable.
HDB flats
HDB does not require approval for a standalone camera or smart doorbell inside your flat. Cameras should not face the door or windows of another flat, and should not be fixed to the building’s outer wall. For cameras outside your flat, such as along the common corridor, ask your Town Council for advice first.
Condominiums
Corridors, lift lobbies and outer walls are common property. BCA’s guide to the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act says an owner cannot change common property without the management corporation’s approval. The guide does not name CCTV, so ask your condo management office before fixing a camera outside your unit.
Electrical work
The Energy Market Authority (EMA) requires electrical work at your home, such as new wiring, rewiring or extensions, to be done by a Licensed Electrical Worker. EMA’s rule of thumb: you need one if the work draws a new connection from the circuit, but not to connect an appliance to an existing point. So a new power point needs one, and plugging a camera into an existing socket does not.
Installers need a licence too. Under the Private Security Industry Act, a business that installs or services CCTV for payment must hold a Security Service Provider licence from the police. Last checked 26 October 2026. Rules change, so check HDB, PDPC, BCA and EMA before you decide.

Home CCTV Installation FAQ
It depends where the camera goes. In an HDB flat, you do not need HDB’s approval for a standalone camera or smart doorbell inside your flat. Cameras should not face the door or windows of another flat, and cameras outside your flat, such as along the common corridor, need advice from your Town Council first. In a condo, ask your management office before fixing anything to common property. For a landed home, the cameras sit on your own property, but it is good practice to aim them at your own space and not at your neighbours’ homes. This was last checked on 26 October 2026.
It depends on the number of cameras, the cable routes and the type of home. A few cameras on an easy route take less time than a full system in a landed home. We confirm the time needed in your written quote after the site visit.
Published 2026 price guides put two cameras at about S$500 to S$1,300 and four cameras for a typical HDB flat at about S$800 to S$2,000, installed. These are rough guides, not quotes. Call +65 9095 4506 for a written quotation.
Most HDB and condo units are well covered by two to four cameras at the entrances and key areas. Landed homes usually need more. We do a free site visit and suggest positions based on your actual layout, rather than selling you a fixed package.
Yes. We set up viewing on your phone and show you how to watch live video and play back recorded footage. The recorder needs to be connected to your home internet for you to watch when you are away.
Wired cameras connect to the recorder by cable, which gives a steady picture but needs cable runs. Wireless cameras connect by Wi-Fi and are quicker to fit, but they still need power and a good signal. The recorder is the box that saves the video, often called a DVR or NVR. We recommend what suits your home after the site visit.
Yes. We repair existing CCTV systems, replace failed cameras and upgrade older setups to higher-resolution network cameras, using your existing cabling where possible.
