What’s included

What Does a Kitchen Cabinet Contractor Do?

A kitchen cabinet contractor measures, plans and installs cabinets to suit your kitchen layout. This can include base cabinets beneath the countertop, wall cabinets above it, tall storage units, and custom-sized doors and drawers.

Well-planned cabinets help you make better use of your kitchen space and keep everyday items within easy reach. Measurements and layout planning are important because cabinets need to fit around plumbing, electrical points, appliances and cooking areas. Custom-made units can also make better use of awkward corners and spaces that standard-sized cabinets may not fit.

LM Infinite provides custom kitchen cabinet services in Singapore with our own team. We measure your kitchen on site, build cabinets using moisture-resistant plywood and handle the installation. You can review the available finish samples before confirming your order, and we explain the scope of work and cost before production begins.

We also make custom wardrobes, TV consoles and other built-in storage. Renovating the whole home? See our HDB renovation contractor and condo renovation contractor pages. Let us know if you would like these included in your renovation quotation.

How it works

From first visit to fitted kitchen

1. Tell us about your kitchen

Tell us the kind of home, the size of the kitchen and what you want. We visit, measure the walls and note where the pipes, power points and cooker sit. The visit is free.

2. Plan the layout

We plan where the base cabinets, wall cabinets and tall units go. You choose the finish from samples. The layout is fitted around the sink, cooker and hood.

3. Get a written quote

Your quote lists the cabinets, the finish, the worktop if you want one, and what is not included. Nothing is added to your bill without your written approval.

4. Check the rules

Taking down a wall needs HDB’s approval, and condominiums have their own rules. Gas, electrical and some plumbing work must be done by licensed workers.

5. Make the cabinets

The cabinets are made to your measurements, then brought to your home for fitting. Noisy work is planned inside the hours your building allows.

6. Fit and hand over

Our team fits the cabinets, adjusts the doors and drawers and cleans up. We go through the kitchen with you before you collect it.

Average cost

Kitchen Cabinet Cost in Singapore

Kitchen cabinets in Singapore are usually priced per foot run. One foot run is one foot of cabinet measured along the wall, so a kitchen with 12 feet of cabinets along its walls is 12 foot runs. Published 2026 price guides give a rough starting point. The worktop is often priced separately.

Cabinets per foot run

About S$200 to S$320 for each foot run of base and wall cabinets together, in laminate. Wood veneer costs about 30 percent more, and spray paint about 45 percent more.

HDB kitchen

A kitchen with about 10 to 12 feet of cabinets: roughly S$2,000 to S$4,000 for the cabinets alone, and roughly S$4,000 to S$8,000 with a quartz worktop.

Condo kitchen

Larger condo kitchens, often with an island and better finishes, are commonly about S$8,000 to S$15,000 or more.

Island and worktop

Island cabinets are about S$250 to S$450 per foot run, with the worktop extra. Quartz worktops are roughly S$80 to S$200 per foot run. A whole island often adds S$2,000 to S$5,000 or more.

These are rough guides, not quotes. They come from published 2026 price guides and assume laminate, a simple layout and basic fittings. Gas, electrical, plumbing and tiling work are usually quoted separately. For new lights or power points, see our lighting installation service. Some quotes count only one row of cabinets, so always check that a price covers both base and wall cabinets. Call us on +65 9095 4506 for a written quotation. We will visit, measure your kitchen and price the exact work.

Budget

What affects the cost of kitchen cabinets

Two kitchens of the same size can have very different prices. These are the things that move your quote the most.

A simple, standard kitchen costs less than a custom one. The most reliable price is a written quote for your own kitchen after a site visit, and the visit is free.

Singapore requirements

Rules that affect kitchen cabinet work

A kitchen has gas, electrical and water connections, so it has more rules than most rooms. Here is what the official sources say. Where something is advice and not a legal rule, we say so.

Gas pipes and hobs

Gas installation work in a home can only be done by City Energy or a Licensed Gas Service Worker. Renovation must not damage any gas pipe, exposed or hidden. In HDB flats, gas pipes must not be buried under floor tiles or closed in above a false ceiling. In a condominium, ask the management office for the gas pipe layout before drilling.

Power points and water pipes

New or moved power points for the cooker hood, hob and oven are electrical work, and EMA requires a Licensed Electrical Worker for it. A handyman without a licence may replace a tap, mixer, sink or basin and its bottle trap. Other regulated water supply and drain pipe work, such as moving pipes, needs a PUB Licensed Plumber.

HDB kitchens

Taking down a kitchen wall needs HDB’s written approval first, and the work must be done by a contractor in HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors. A cement base for a counter or cabinet, with its tiles, must not be thicker than 50mm, and concrete shelves are not allowed. Carpentry must not block the small weephole some kitchens have for spotting leaks in the pipe duct. If you suspect a leak, our water leakage specialist team can look at it.

Hours and condominium rules

In HDB flats, general work is allowed from 9am to 6pm on weekdays and Saturdays. Noisy work, such as breaking walls, removing floor tiles and heavy drilling, is only allowed on weekdays from 9am to 5pm. Nothing is allowed on Sundays and public holidays. A condominium’s management corporation can set its own rules and may need to approve works first, so ask the office about hours, lift and corridor protection and any deposit.

Last checked 26 October 2026. Rules change, so check the latest on the official pages: EMA gas safety, EMA electrical safety, PUB plumbing works, HDB building works guidelines, HDB important information on renovations and BCA Strata Management Guide 14. Replacing kitchen floor tiles is a separate job: it needs an HDB permit, and the tiles and base layer together must not be thicker than 50mm. Asking your condominium office about its rules is good advice, and each condominium sets its own. We will confirm what your home needs at the site visit.

Questions

Kitchen Cabinet Contractor FAQ

Fitting cabinets on their own is not one of the permit items on HDB’s list. Taking down a kitchen wall is, and so is replacing floor tiles. HDB also says to use a contractor from its Directory of Renovation Contractors. In a condominium, the management corporation may need to approve the works. We check what your home needs at the site visit.

It depends on the size of the kitchen, the finish and whether other work, such as removing a wall or laying new tiles, comes first. Many cabinet jobs take about three to five weeks from the confirmed design to fitting, and the fitting itself usually takes one to two days. We give you the timing in the written quote.

Published 2026 guides put kitchen cabinets at about S$200 to S$320 per foot run for base and wall cabinets together, in laminate. A kitchen with about 10 to 12 feet of cabinets and a quartz worktop is roughly S$4,000 to S$8,000. These are rough guides, not quotes. Call +65 9095 4506 for a written quotation.

Yes. The cabinets are made off site and then fitted, so the noisy part at home is short. You will not be able to use the kitchen while the cabinets are fitted, so plan for simple meals for those days.

We visit, measure your kitchen and note where the pipes, power points and cooker are. Your written quote lists the cabinets, the finish, the worktop if you want one, and what is not included. Nothing is added to your bill without your approval. Call +65 9095 4506 or WhatsApp us to book the free visit.

By law, gas installation work is done by City Energy or a Licensed Gas Service Worker, electrical work by a Licensed Electrical Worker, and regulated water and drain pipe work by a PUB Licensed Plumber. Tell us if your kitchen needs any of this. We plan the cabinets around it and set out in the written quote how it will be arranged.

Per foot, custom cabinets usually cost more than ready-made ones. But they are built to your walls and ceiling height, so they use corners and gaps that ready-made units leave empty. You also choose the finish, and we can match it to furniture you already own.

Yes.
